EXTENDED DAY CARE SCHEDULE (6:30-8:00 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. daily)
How the system works: Children may arrive at Grace Christian School as early 8:00 a.m. and remain on campus as late as 3:30 p.m. without charge beyond the regular tuition payment. This totals 1 hour of supervised play beyond the regular school day (8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). The extended day care program stretches from as early as 6:30 a.m. to as late as 6:00 p.m. The additional fees for extended services are necessary to pay for personnel and program. Parents may pay for services in one of three ways:
1) Discounted Annual Advance Payment - $650.00 due by the first day of school. Discounted Annual Advance payment allows for unlimited use of Extended Day Care services, not including the special Staff In-service Days (See note below). Parents are still responsible for sign-in and sign-out of students.
2) Discounted Monthly Rates - 10 monthly payments added to tuition payment from September–June - $70.00 per month. The Discounted Monthly Rate is to designed to allow parents the option of prepayment for day care services and helps us minimize book keeping of hourly day care usage. A Family chooses the Discounted Monthly payment plan in September and that plan remains stay in effect for the entire 10 months. This method of payment is not intended to be changed from month to month. If you are unsure of the total amount of extended day care services you will require, it may be best to choose the hourly payment plan. The Discounted Monthly Rate method of payment allows for unlimited use of Extended Day Care services, but does not including the special Staff Inservice Days (See note below). Parents are still responsible for sign-in and sign-out of students.
3) Hourly Rate - Billed Monthly (rounded off to the nearest 1/4 hour) - $4.00 per hour. PLEASE NOTE: The parents, or a person on your emergency card who is 18 years or older must sign-in the student in the morning before 8:00 a.m. and sign-out the student after 3:30 p.m. If a student is picked up after 3:30 p.m. and is not signed out, the parent will be charged until 6:00 p.m. Any student not picked up by 6:00 p.m. will be charged $1.00 for each additional minute. After three tardies in one month, the charge will be $2.00 per minute per child. PREPPIE CARE - Preppie Kindergarten has been designed as a half-day program for specific purposes tied to child development theory. It is not intended to be a whole day school experience. However, if day care service is a family necessity and Preppie Kindergarten is the preferred placement, day care will be provided and regular full-day tuition ($5,082.00 annually/$462.00 monthly for 11 months) will apply. Extended care services will be charged as used beyond the 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. school day coverage.
SPECIAL STAFF INSERVICE DAYS - $25 per day per child (unless noted on registration form) Day care services are available on certain special in-service day throughout the school year for $25 per day per child (beyond the chosen method of day care payment), those special in-service days are marked on the yearly calendar which is sent home in August. Families needing day care on those special days will need to register in advance as there is limited space available. Thes days include, but are not limited to, ACSI/Teacher In-Service (3 days in November); Good Friday; Day after Open House.
